Catch the best shows and events in Dubai before 2021 ends

The year may be coming to an end but Season 26 is just getting started. Running until April, we have a brilliant line-up of more than 40,000 spectacular shows planned for the season, along with some truly exciting events.

You’ll find special events to enjoy throughout December at Global Village. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Spectacular National Day celebrations for a grand milestone
2nd – 4th December

If you’re looking for an entertaining mix of activities happening in Dubai for National Day, then Global Village is the place to be. After month-long festivities celebrating the UAE, the celebrations will reach their peak over National Day with an amazing mix of shows and events.

Tuck into authentic Emirati cuisine like luqaimat from the various native kiosks and restaurants and hop over to the Khalifa Foundation or Al Sana’a Pavilion for a taste of Emirati entrepreneurship. In between, catch the National Youth Orchestra show that will be presenting a stunning mix of national and classical music. The crowning jewel of the festivities will be Luminous Years, a National Day show made exclusively for Global Village where you’ll be immersed in a gripping musical that paints a vivid picture of the journey the UAE has seen over the past 50 years.

‘Tis the season to be wrapped in wonder
6th December – 8th January

Make merry this December as the month of festive fun begins. We have tonnes planned for this month to spread winter cheer among all our visitors. Along with the shopping, dining, and entertainment wonders housed at Global Village, you’ll get the chance to enjoy fun family activities like an elf parade and a booming festive market. Seasonal delicacies will grace your taste buds with flavours that are sweet, savoury, and a little bit of everything in-between. From grilled chestnuts to Christmas cookies and cakes with candied fruit, chocolate, raisins, and nuts, you’ll find it all to make your festive month a merrier one.

Follow wintery decorations to our larger than life festive tree featuring landmarks from around the world but if it’s Santa Claus you’re looking for, he’ll be with the Snow Queen in the gingerbread house. Welcome 2022 eight times this New Year’s Eve
31st December

Bask in the cool winter breeze and soak in the promise of the upcoming new year multiple times as eight sets of fireworks will light up the night sky over Global Village on New Year’s Eve.

The fireworks will set off as the clock strikes midnight in eight different countries across the globe. Take in the wondrous views from Fireworks Avenue and celebrate the start of 2022 with people from all over the world as you shop, dine, and stay entertained throughout the evening.
